Thanksgiving Lunch at School

Last week Ryan and I joined Brayden for a Thanksgiving lunch at his school. It was really fun - all of the kids had on little feather headdresses and the tables were all set. Brayden's teacher Ms Vera had made a placemat for each child and asked them what they were thankful for and then wrote it on the placemat. His said "Brayden is thankful for Mommy, Daddy and lions."

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year! Brayden got to go trick-or-treating for the first time! We headed over to the Wagner's in Lakewood and went with them in their neighborhood. I have never seen so many trick-or-treaters in my life! Definitely an experience! Brayden was a little timid at first walking up to the doors to ask for candy but once he got the hang of it he was running up and doing it like a pro. Aunt T came with us and she and I dressed up like kitty cats. Brayden was a Manchester United Soccer Player this year. I know, no surprise, but that is truly what he asked to be for Halloween. He said he wanted to be just like daddy. He actually told me Halloween afternoon before nap he wanted to be a soccer coach like daddy but needed to "get bigger first". :) He was super cute to watch this year. Ryan was out of town on a work trip - we we missed him but he was home when we got home and it was fun to go through all of the candy together.

Boo at the Zoo

Last Saturday my Mom and Dave came into town to visit for the weekend so we decided to make the trip to Fort Worth to go to the zoo! David joined us too which made the day even better! I had never been to the Forth Worth Zoo and I discovered it was fantastic! They had some amazing animals and it is really spread out nicely so it never seemed crowded. The particular day we were there was Boo at the Zoo to celebrate Halloween so all of the children were dressed in their Halloween costumes, which was cute to see. So I think it was a busy day there, but it never seemed to be full of people, which was great. We had a great time. Brayden loved it. We ended up staying until almost 5! We skipped nap! He slept on the way there and on the way back so I guess he did get some rest, but he was having such a great time we just kept having fun. Here are the pics of the day:
