13 1/2 months!

It's been awhile since I have last posted. Guess working has slowed me down. Well, we now have a toddler that is fully walking! It's amazing how fast they go from first steps to completely walking. It took about two weeks or so. I thought keeping up with a crawler was difficult but the walker takes the cake. I don't think the child ever wants to sit down anymore. He's a ton of fun. His personality emerges each day and he is a funny one. We are always laughing at the little things he does. He also has started kissing. We ask him to give us a kiss and he will lean in and kiss you. It's probably the sweetest thing I have ever experienced. The first time he did it I don't think my heart has ever been that full. This particular day he found his closet to be a fun place to play. We put the wooden blocks up and down on the shelf for about an hour or so.

First Steps

I haven't posted anything in a few weeks...Brayden took his first couple of steps last Sunday. Ryan and I were playing with him on the floor and feeding him goldfish crackers. He had been holding on to the coffee table and just let go and took about 2-3 steps. We both started screaming "YAY Brayden!" and clapping and he looked at us like we were crazy. It was really cool that we were both there for the big moment. He has gotten even better over the week and will now let go of the couch, ottoman, or coffee table and just take a few steps and then fall on his bottom. So he is close to walking! It's very exciting. Can't believe how big he is getting. The photo above was taking this morning. I have no clue how I got it to look blurry - but I thought it turned out cool and it illustrates Mr. Man on the move. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Birthday Boy! 1 year old!

Brayden turned one on Saturday!!! It's hard to believe that our little boy is 1! To think of how much he has changed the past 12 months - it's truly amazing. Each day he just boggles our minds with the new things he does. He is not walking yet but wants to so bad. Ryan and I have to hold his arms and walk around the house with him all day. He got a Tonka truck/walker for his birthday and I spent this evening going back and forth with him down the hallway. Soon he will be taking his first steps by himself. We now will roll a ball to him and he will grab it and throw it to us. He also likes to hand us objects and then wants us to hand them right back to him. Pretty fun game.

We had a small get together for his birthday over the weekend with family and close friends. It seemed that he had a fun time. He didn't like birthday cake very much which I was surprised about however it may have been the group staring at him rather than the icing making him messy. Friday Night at the Pumpkin Patch

We took Brayden to his first pumpkin patch last night. Ryan's parents came too. He wasn't too interested in the pumpkins but had fun riding in a wagon. I am enjoying my new camera - I thought I would post a few (okay, a lot) of the pics we took :) Happy Fall!
