Duh...duh...duh - First Cavity

Brayden went to see the dentist for the first time last week. I was a bit nervous about it since he had never been but the staff were awesome with him and made him feel super comfortable and relaxed for his teeth cleaning. The dentist was very nice and gentle with him as well. We found out he had a cavity -- and so we set an appointment to have it filled today. Ryan took him and he sent me a few pics during the process. Ryan said he did great! He got some laughing gas and that was all he needed - thank goodness he didn't have to get a shot and have to have a numb mouth. Ryan said Brayden asked to go back to school afterwards! Such a big boy! He even asks to brush his teeth and floss every night now - he reminds me!

Cavity filling time. I love how the dental hygienist is holding his arm -- they are so great there!

Halloween 2011

Halloween was fun this year, we headed down to Lakewood to go trick-or-treating. Ryan was off of work and got to come too which was really great. Brayden was a bit slow to start, shy at trick-or-treating until we ran into the cousins, Cooper and Charlee and then he was off and running. This year he was Lightning McQueen -- that race car will always be his favorite. :)

FOUR

Our sweet boy turned 4 this week. So hard to believe 4 whole years have passed already. Brayden has grown into such an amazing little boy: he is incredibly smart, learning more and more each day; inquisitive about EVERYTHING at the moment: what time is it? what word is that? what planet do we live on? on and on...he has a very sweet spirit, always telling us he loves us and loves to give hugs and kisses, can be challenging at times - extremely hard headed, but what 4 year old isn't challenging??? All in all he is such a joy and it was so fun celebrating his 4th birthday. We celebrated at Pump it Up - he had been telling us for months that he wanted his birthday party there, so that is where it had to be! This place is crazytown for kids; full of bouncehouses and basically a place where children can run around for two hours and bounce and play. He had a blast with all of his little friends and we enjoyed watching him so happy.

Happy Birthday Brayden. We love you SO much - you are so precious and we are so proud of you!

Arboretum - Pumpkin Village

Brayden and I headed down to the Arboretum this morning for a mommy/son playdate :) I had been wanting to take him to see all of the pumpkins they have right now for the fall. We had a great time. There was a huge storm last night that came through so I was a bit nervous it might be muddy but it was fine and it turned out to be a really pretty afternoon. We played around the pumpkins, had a picnic with a view of White Rock Lake, and Brayden played barefoot in a fountain. Lots of pics below:
