9 months old!

Hard to believe our little one is 9 months old! Before we know it we will be celebrating Brayden's 1st birthday. I didn't take very many photos this month. We have been crazy busy. But here are a few I did take. Enjoy!

Gone are the days he is interested in baby toys. No-- now he is only interested in what is on the coffee table: home phone, cell phones, remote, newspaper. (I know, I know - I need to put all of it away and out of reach so it's not tempting for him)

Jenn and Travis came over yesterday -- I had to post this sweet photo of baby Travis sleeping on my bed. He looks like such a sweetie pie.

Fun Visitors Today!

Jenn and her baby boy Travis came over for a visit today. He is 4 weeks old today! I was super impressed she is doing so well getting out and about already. I know how great it feels to get out for a little while when they are so young - you start to get cabin fever. It was great to see them both. Travis is so sweet - he slept most of the time. Thought I would share a few pics from the day below:

And here we have crazy Mr. Man... he was very interested in Travis. I think he wanted to pat pat his little friend -- we had to watch him to make sure he didn't pounce on him.

No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!

Okay - this sucks. I cannot get it to change its orientation. So you will have to turn your head to watch it. Sorry. I just thought it was a cute video showing him jumping on the bed before bedtime.

Haircut!

We got Brayden his first real hair cut this week! We had cut his hair a few times ourselves but it had gotten so long we decided to try one of those kiddie cut places. She did an awesome job. Brayden did GREAT. We were shocked how calm and still he was. Occasionally he would get a little ruffled but for the most part he did so good. We were proud of him. We did not get any pictures of the actual "cut" because they had this little car he sat in and the straps weren't small enough for him so I had to hold him and Ryan was nervous about how it was going to turn out. We will get pictures next go 'round. Anyways, I posted a few photos below of the end result. Also I am posting a few pics showing our little "fearless wonder" - he wants to pull himself to a standing position to pretty much anything he can come in contact with. He really has no fear - which is scary for us. No turning our back to him anymore.

8 MONTHS OLD!

It's hard to believe Brayden is now 8 months old. I was looking back at old pictures and came across one from Christmas when he was 2 months old. It's amazing how much difference 6 months makes. He looks so different today! He has grown so much. Anyways, I posted them below. Happy 8 months Mr. Man!

Happy Summer!

Hope everyone is having a great summer so far. Things have been crazy with us. Ryan has been busy getting ready for Regional and National tournaments and is in Raleigh, North Carolina at Regionals now. We miss you!!! I have started a program with Region 10 to get my teacher's certificate so I have been quite busy myself in addition to taking care of the little guy.

My best friend Jenn had a baby boy on June 14th! Travis Wesley Dawkins is finally here! Congratulations Jenn and Ken. He is absolutely beautiful and we are so thrilled for the arrival of their bundle of joy. He came a bit early but is home now happy and healthy. Little Travis will be playing with Brayden soon!

This was also a bad teething day so as you can see from the pictures he isn't in the best of moods. He humored me.

He loves to dive into the toy basket. He is pretty good at entertaining himself - which makes it easier for me sometimes!

This is a piece of furniture that my sweet sister-in-law refinished for Brayden's room. We just got it from her last week! Isn't it fabulous? It looks great in his room. The cool thing about the actual piece is that it was my mom's armoire when she was a baby! Thank you Aunt Rachel (and Uncle Randy too) !! We love it.

Scoot, Scoot! It's a Cat!!!

Brayden and I went over to Dad and Jackie's this afternoon after naptime for a visit. Brayden has started noticing the cats. It was cracking us up because he could not stop laughing at Cat (that's her name really, Cat)and kept scooting all over the den to get a chance to touch her. Once he would touch her he would just start giggling. I am excited to see that he might have a love for animals (sorry Daddy!). Anyways, I took a quick video of him and had to post it (it's not the best quality but hopefully you get the idea). As you can see while watching he is almost crawling! He scoots and scoots all over the place. Also, he stops and sits up every once in a while. This is a new development this week. Pretty cute!
